Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Pharos Erikusa Inc., a Florida corporation that operates CourtPilot ("CourtPilot", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares information when you use courtpilot.net and the CourtPilot customer portal (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details, or basic profile information if you sign in with Google.
- Case information you add: cases, events, hearings, deadlines, tasks, notes, uploaded court documents and photos, and your messages with the AI assistant.
- Billing information: the status of your subscription and purchases. Card details are entered directly with Stripe.
- Usage information: the amount of AI assistance used, so we can manage your plan allowance, and basic technical information such as browser and device type.
- Feedback you send us, including optional screenshots.
How uploaded documents and case information are stored
Your case information and uploaded documents are stored with our cloud hosting and database provider and are linked to your account. Each account's records are separated so that other customers cannot see them.
Your original documents are stored as uploaded. CourtPilot does not alter or translate them.
Authorized CourtPilot personnel and service providers may access information only as needed to operate, secure and support the Service, or as required by law.
How we use information
To provide and maintain the Service; organize your case information; generate AI assistant replies you request; process your subscription, renewals and purchases; manage your AI usage allowance; send account, billing and service notices; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations.
AI service providers
When you use the AI assistant, the case information, document content and messages needed to answer your request are sent to third-party AI service providers to generate the reply. Those providers process this information under their own terms.
AI replies may contain errors. Always verify them against your original documents.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number and payment details are provided directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's privacy policy. CourtPilot does not receive or store your full card number. We receive information such as your subscription status, billing period and purchase records.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (cloud hosting and database, Stripe for payments, AI service providers, and Google if you choose Google sign-in), when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or CourtPilot, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
Cookies and browser storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your "Remember me" choice and remember your language preference.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active.
You may ask us to delete your account and its case information by contacting support@courtpilot.net. Some records, such as billing and transaction records, may be kept where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as accounting and fraud prevention.
Your requests
To request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal information, or for any privacy question, contact support@courtpilot.net. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you through the Service or by email.
